Experience that shapes perspective.

For more than twenty years, I have worked at the intersection of strategy, leadership and organisational performance—as an advisor to senior leaders and as an executive accountable for people, growth and results.

My career has taken me across Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East, working with boards, CEOs, executive teams and emerging leaders across different industries and cultures.

Through Bevan Gray Advisory, I bring these perspectives together to help leaders and organisations navigate complexity, strengthen performance and create sustainable value.

Perspective from both sides of the table

I have spent much of my career advising leaders. I have also carried the responsibility of leading organisations myself.

Advisory perspective

Experience across executive assessment, succession, leadership development, executive coaching, team effectiveness and organisational consulting.

Executive accountability

First-hand responsibility for strategy, integration, commercial growth, people leadership and results.

Practical judgement

Advice informed by evidence and research, tested against the realities of leading people, making decisions and delivering outcomes.

A career devoted to better leadership

Leadership has been the thread throughout.

My advisory career began in leadership assessment, development and organisational consulting. I later led Korn Ferry’s Leadership & Talent Advisory practice in New Zealand, chaired its Executive Coaching Community across Asia-Pacific and held regional commercial leadership roles with Korn Ferry Digital across Europe and the Middle East.

As CEO of LHH Germany and CEO of Aon Human Capital Solutions across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, I led businesses through integration, transformation and growth. Those roles deepened my understanding of what leaders face when information is incomplete, expectations compete and accountability ultimately rests with them.

A high-performance perspective

Lessons shaped beyond the boardroom.

A decade in professional and representative rugby—as a player, coach and founder—reinforced lessons about preparation, resilience, accountability and collective performance. Those experiences continue to inform how I think about leadership, teams and the discipline required to perform when expectations are high.

International perspective. Practical judgement.

Having lived and worked in New Zealand and Germany—and led and advised across Asia, the Pacific, Europe and the Middle East—I understand that effective leadership cannot simply be transferred from one context to another. Culture, organisational history, stakeholder expectations and local realities matter.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Business Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration and a Master of Management from Massey University. My postgraduate study also included an MBA exchange at the European Business School (EBS) in Germany. My continuing professional development includes governance education through the Institute of Directors New Zealand, together with relevant executive coaching, leadership assessment and development accreditations.
